Verification that all subcontractors carry appropriate insurance, including Commercial General Liability and Workers’ Compensation
Guidance regarding Builder’s Risk Insurance for the owner, general contractor, or construction manager, as applicable
Requirement that subcontractors provide current certificates of insurance prior to commencing work
Requirement that subcontractors execute written indemnification agreements holding the homeowner, general contractor, and construction manager harmless from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from their work
Protection against claims resulting from subcontractor negligence, omissions, unsafe practices, or failure to comply with plans, specifications, or regulations
Requirement that subcontractors indemnify and defend the homeowner and contractor against citations, penalties, fines, or claims resulting from OSHA violations or other safety infractions caused by the subcontractor’s carelessness or noncompliance
Consulting fee: $150 per hour
